Jimmy talks on Mar...

When Mar died I emailed all the auditors that were on my mailing list. I know they loved Mar and would want to know how he was. Today I got a mail from Jimmy. He had a chance to visit Mar last August during their vacation here from the US. I am pasting part of his mail to me:

...I'm surprised to get your news that Mar passed away last Dec. 15, 2004 (it was Armie's birthday).

Only this morning I had a dream. It was about you, Mar, Bong and Raul. In the scenario, I was visiting you guys at the Zenco Office. I was talking to Bong and was asking about your health. We talked about what's happening with the "Audit gang." I did saw a lot of faces, faces I could remember and others that I haven't seen before. Then came Mar... we embraced and then we sat down to talk at the lobby. I asked him, how are you feeling? It is so vivid in my mind the smile and the glow in his eyes, he answered me "I feel great". I was surprised to see his good health.

I'm having goose bumps now, realizing that we spoke good things in my dream. I don't know if this is a sign . I would attest that I saw him very happy! In his last letter before my vacation last August of 2004, he described to me his trials and how his faith made him strong to overcome those trials. In his letter he made many testimonies on how the Lord helped him and his family. I sincerely believe he is a good and faithful Christian... and he is now in God's presence.

Beth, I hope you can share this to all his friends and especially to the family he left behind. Last December 22nd I mailed a card to Mar, care of Helen at the Zenco address. I enclosed the picture (Raul, myself, and Mar) that my older brother took when we visited him in Malolos.

Please tell his wife to keep in touch and I would like to see them when I vacation there in 2008. We love you all.

I think Mar did visit Jim just to tell him that He is okay!

Goodbye Mar!!!

We got news that Mar died today.

I am not clear of the exact time he died but they say that he felt dizzy while in their restaurant and decided to go home, that was at around 3 o'clock pm. He did not reach their home, he was already in their compound but he hit his head and he no longer reached their home... they rushed him to the hospital but he did not make it through! he probably died at the time many of us are having a great time in our Christmas party... probably when we were in the dance floor dancing to the beat of our entertainers...he was alone when he died while his audit family was together having a great time!

Why did he have to go so soon??? We were planning to visit him to show our concern for him!!!

Just yesterday during our auditors' meeting, we were discussing on visiting him.
He left the company last September and aside from being very sick, he is also very low on cash... and low on spirit. He has sent text message to some auditors saying that we have already forgotten him and was feeling really low!

Of course we have not forgotten him but sometimes it is just difficult to talk with him because we really do not know what to say! But as Raul was saying yesterday and even the other day, Mar needs us and we have to show our care for him! That's what family are for, right?

We have already passed an envelope to collect our love offering for him so that aside from our visit, we will be giving him something to help with his medical expenses. On our discussion yesterday, Raul said we should go on Friday, Felix wanted to go today right after our company party.. some wanted to go on Saturday. We have not really settled on the date yesterday. But today we settled it... we will be going tomorrow. We will no longer have our Audit department's party... all the money we have collected for the party will be for Mar.

We wanted to visit him him to show our support for him. That despite what happened, his audit family still cares for him and cherishes him...

But he would no longer be there to feel it and appreciate it!

No! Please Dear God, let his spirit linger here long enough to mingle with us when we visit his place! Let him see us when we visit him!
Then take him in your bosom and wash away all the pains that he experienced! Comfort him!
YEah, comfort him and let him rest well!

Dear MAr... goodbye! You will be missed by your audit family here BUT we know you will joining a better family!

Bad weathers...

Three typhoons hit our country one after another. Metro Manila was not affected but some provinces were greatly affected! There were some people from our branch that were affected with some losing their roofs... damaged kitchen and washed out home!

Some auditors are assigned to those areas and they too have to face the typhoons.. and bad weathers!

That's the difficult part of being a field auditor.. they are exposed to the elements! Rain.. the heat of the sun... pollution... plus given the security in our country... threats to their safety...

That is why i am proud of our auditors... they are really the best... and i hope that they will always be safe in all their travels and engagements!
